Terms of Service
This English version is the legally binding text. The other language versions are convenience translations; in case of conflict, the English version prevails. Status: v1.1 — last updated 2026-09-27.
1. Provider and Scope
1.1 Provider
BigBro is operated by:
Karussell Labs OÜ Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia Registry Code (Registrikood): 17536456 Email: contact@bigbro.men
Karussell Labs OÜ is not registered for VAT. Throughout these Terms, Karussell Labs OÜ is referred to as “BigBro,” “we,” “our,” or “us.” Karussell Labs OÜ is the provider of the BigBro Platform and your contractual partner.
1.2 Scope of the Services
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BigBro platform, including:
- the BigBro website (bigbro.men);
- iOS and Android applications;
- web applications;
- the BigBro Knowledge Hub;
- user-organised events;
- messaging and communication features;
- communities, groups and social features;
- all current and future services, features and functionality made available by BigBro (collectively, the “Platform”).
By creating an account, accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not register for or use the Platform. BigBro provides a technology platform that enables Members to discover one another, communicate, participate in communities, create and join user-organised events, and access educational content. Unless expressly stated otherwise, BigBro does not organise, manage, supervise or operate real-world meetings, activities or events. Such activities are independently arranged by Members and remain their sole responsibility. BigBro may modify, expand, restrict or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
1.3 Consumers and Businesses
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the Platform is intended for use by private individuals acting as consumers. If you use the Platform for commercial purposes, including promoting a business, organisation, professional service or commercial activity, additional terms may apply or your use may be restricted or prohibited.
Where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of habitual residence provide greater protection than these Terms, those mandatory rights remain unaffected.
1.4 Nature of the Service
BigBro is an adults-only social network for gay, bi and queer men, organised around user-created events and connections. The Platform lets you create a profile, discover nearby Members, exchange messages, express interest (“Buzz”), and create, host or attend user-organised events. BigBro is a hosting and communications platform. It is not an organiser of, or a party to, any event, meeting or transaction between Members. Events are created, described, hosted and controlled by the Members who publish them, and the Host is solely responsible for their event — including its lawfulness, safety, admission, any age or entry conditions, venue, and compliance with local law. Karussell Labs OÜ does not verify, endorse, supervise or attend events and accepts no liability for them or for any interaction between Members. You participate in events and meetings with other Members entirely at your own risk.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Minimum Age
The Platform is an adults-only social network intended exclusively for adult men who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher). By creating an account or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- you are legally permitted to use the Platform under the laws applicable to you; and
- you have not previously been removed or banned from the Platform for a breach of these Terms.
BigBro may request additional information or verification where it reasonably believes that a Member may be under the required minimum age. Accounts reasonably suspected of belonging to persons under the age of 18 may be suspended or permanently removed.
2.2 Legal Capacity
You may only use the Platform if you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws applicable to you. If you are prohibited by law from using services such as BigBro, you must not access or use the Platform.
2.3 Personal Use
BigBro is designed primarily for personal, social and community use. Unless expressly authorised in writing by BigBro, you may not use the Platform for commercial purposes, including but not limited to:
-
advertising products or services;
-
operating a business through the Platform;
-
commercial solicitation;
-
recruitment unrelated to genuine community activities;
-
automated lead generation;
-
data scraping or harvesting;
-
mass messaging or spam;
-
promoting illegal or unauthorised commercial activities.
BigBro reserves the right to remove commercial content and suspend or terminate accounts used primarily for unauthorised commercial purposes.
2.4 One Account per Person
Each individual may maintain only one active personal account unless BigBro has expressly authorised otherwise. You may not:
- create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or moderation measures;
- impersonate another person;
- create accounts using false or misleading information;
- share your account with another individual; or
- transfer your account to another person without BigBro’s prior written consent.
Maintaining multiple accounts for the purpose of avoiding suspensions, bans or other enforcement actions constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
2.5 Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep your account information reasonably up to date. Providing false information regarding your identity, age or eligibility to use the Platform may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.
2.6 Availability by Jurisdiction
The Platform is intended for use only in jurisdictions where its operation and use are lawful. BigBro reserves the right to restrict or discontinue access to the Platform in specific countries or jurisdictions where required by law, regulatory obligations or business considerations.
3. User Account
3.1 Registration
To access certain features of the Platform, you must create a personal BigBro account. During registration, you agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information and to keep your account information reasonably current. Registration is completed only after BigBro has accepted your registration and your account has been successfully created. BigBro reserves the right to refuse or decline any registration where reasonably necessary to protect the safety, integrity or lawful operation of the Platform.
3.2 One Account per Person
Unless expressly authorised by BigBro, each individual may maintain only one personal account. You may not:
-
create multiple accounts;
-
create replacement accounts to circumvent suspensions, restrictions or bans;
-
share your account with another person;
-
transfer your account to another individual;
-
create accounts on behalf of another person without authorisation.
Creating multiple accounts to avoid moderation measures constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur through your account. You agree to:
- choose a secure password;
- keep your login credentials confidential;
- prevent unauthorised access to your account;
- notify BigBro promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised access or suspected security breach.
BigBro is not responsible for losses resulting from your failure to protect your account credentials.
3.4 Accurate Profile Information
You are responsible for ensuring that your profile information is accurate and does not mislead other Members. You must not knowingly provide false or misleading information regarding:
- your age;
- your identity;
- photographs;
- relationship status;
- location;
- verification status; or
- any other information that could materially mislead other Members.
Profiles intended to deceive other Members may be removed.
3.5 Usernames
Usernames must comply with these Terms and the Community Guidelines. Usernames may not:
- impersonate another individual or organisation;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- contain hate speech or unlawful content;
- promote illegal activities;
- intentionally mislead other Members.
BigBro may require a Member to change a username or may modify or remove a username where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect the Platform.
3.6 Profile Photos
You may upload only photographs and media that you have the legal right to use.
By uploading profile photographs or other media, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the content or have permission to upload it;
- the content does not infringe the rights of any third party;
- any identifiable person depicted has consented where required by applicable law.
BigBro may resize, compress, crop or generate thumbnails of uploaded media for technical and operational purposes.
3.7 Inactive Accounts
BigBro may suspend, archive or permanently delete inactive accounts after an extended period of inactivity. Where reasonably practicable, BigBro may provide advance notice before permanently deleting an inactive account. Deletion of an inactive account does not affect BigBro’s right to retain information where required by applicable law, the Privacy Policy or for legitimate business purposes, including fraud prevention and legal compliance.
3.8 Account Ownership
Your account is personal to you. You may not sell, purchase, transfer, license, inherit or otherwise assign your account or any associated rights without BigBro’s prior written consent. Any attempted transfer is void and may result in immediate suspension or termination of the account.
3.9 Revocable Permission to Use the Platform
Your access to the Platform is provided as a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence. Nothing in these Terms guarantees that your account or access to the Platform will remain available indefinitely. Subject to applicable law, BigBro reserves the right to suspend, restrict or terminate access in accordance with these Terms where reasonably necessary to protect Members, enforce the Community Guidelines, comply with legal obligations or protect the integrity and security of the Platform.
3.10 Responsibility for Your Account
You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account unless you have previously notified BigBro that your account has been compromised. You remain solely responsible for:
- your profile;
- your messages;
- Buzzes you send;
- events you create;
- communities you manage;
- content you upload;
- interactions with other Members; and
- compliance with these Terms and applicable law.
The use of your account by another person does not relieve you of your responsibilities under these Terms.
3.11 Termination by the Member
You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time, using the tools provided within the Platform or by contacting support@bigbro.men. Deleting your account will erase your data, subject to any information that BigBro is required or permitted to retain under applicable law, the Privacy Policy, or for child-safety, security, fraud-prevention, legal-hold or moderation-record purposes. Termination of your account, whether by you or by BigBro, does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued before termination, and does not affect any provisions of these Terms that by their nature are intended to survive termination, including those set out in section 19.11 (Survival).
4. Verification
4.1 Purpose of Verification
BigBro may offer one or more optional verification methods to help increase confidence in certain aspects of a Member’s profile. Verification is intended to reduce impersonation, discourage underage use of the Platform and improve trust within the community. Verification is voluntary unless required for access to specific features or services offered by BigBro. A verification badge does not change a Member’s obligations under these Terms.
4.2 Standard Verification
BigBro may offer an automated verification process using technologies such as facial recognition, liveness detection, video verification or similar methods. Upon successful completion, the Member may receive a Verified badge. At the time of verification, BigBro reasonably determined that:
- the individual completing the verification process appeared to be at least 18 years of age; and
- the individual completing the verification process appeared to match the profile photographs displayed on the account.
The standard verification process is intended solely to reduce impersonation and underage use of the Platform.
4.3 Identity Verification
If a Member is unable to complete the standard verification process, or if BigBro offers additional verification options, the Member may choose to complete an identity verification process through an independent third- party identity verification provider designated by BigBro. This process may require the presentation of a valid government-issued identity document together with any additional verification steps required by the provider. Upon successful completion, BigBro may display an Identity Verified badge or another designation selected by BigBro.
BigBro does not independently verify the authenticity of identity documents submitted through third-party verification providers and relies on the verification result provided by those providers.
4.4 What Verification Does Not Mean
Regardless of the verification method used, a verification badge does not mean that BigBro has:
- conducted criminal background checks;
- investigated a Member’s criminal history;
- verified a Member’s legal name unless expressly stated;
- verified nationality, address, occupation or education;
- assessed a Member’s character, honesty, reliability or intentions;
- guaranteed that the verified Member is trustworthy or safe to meet;
- guaranteed the accuracy of all information contained in the Member’s profile; or
- guaranteed that the same individual will continue to use the account after verification.
Members should continue to exercise appropriate judgment and caution when communicating with or meeting other Members, regardless of whether a Member has been verified.
4.5 Verification Badge
A verification badge is intended solely to indicate that a Member successfully completed a verification process offered by BigBro at a specific point in time. The badge must not be interpreted as an endorsement, recommendation, certification or guarantee by BigBro. Verification badges remain the property of BigBro and may not be copied, reproduced, modified or used outside the Platform without BigBro’s prior written consent.
4.6 Revocation of Verification
BigBro may suspend, remove or revoke a verification badge at any time where it reasonably believes that:
- the verification no longer accurately reflects the account;
- the account has been transferred or compromised;
- false or misleading information has been provided;
- these Terms or the Community Guidelines have been violated;
- continued display of the badge could mislead other Members; or
- removal is otherwise necessary to protect the Platform or comply with applicable law.
Removal of a verification badge does not necessarily imply misconduct by the Member.
4.7 Verification Fees
Certain verification methods may require payment of a fee. Where a fee applies, the applicable price and payment terms will be clearly presented before the Member chooses to proceed. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, verification fees are non-refundable once the verification process has commenced, including where verification cannot be completed because the Member fails to satisfy the verification requirements.
4.8 Future Verification Methods
BigBro may introduce additional verification methods, verification badges or trust indicators from time to time. The meaning of each verification method will be explained within the Platform or in accompanying documentation. Different verification badges may represent different verification processes and should not be interpreted as providing identical levels of verification.
5. User Content and Profiles
5.1 Ownership of User Content
You retain ownership of all content that you create, upload, publish or otherwise make available through the Platform (“User Content”), including but not limited to:
- profile information;
- photographs;
- videos;
- messages;
- Buzzes;
- event descriptions;
- community posts;
- comments;
- usernames (subject to applicable law); and
- other content you create or share through the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your User Content to BigBro.
5.2 Licence Granted to BigBro
By uploading or making User Content available through the Platform, you grant BigBro a worldwide, non- exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence, for the duration necessary to operate the Platform, to:
- host;
- store;
- reproduce;
- process;
- transmit;
- display;
- distribute according to your privacy settings;
- generate thumbnails;
- resize;
- compress;
- translate;
- cache; and
- otherwise use your User Content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, improve and promote the Platform.
This licence ends when your User Content is permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law, the Privacy Policy, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, moderation records or other legitimate legal purposes.
5.3 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all User Content that you upload, publish or transmit through the Platform. By publishing User Content, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the content or have all necessary rights and permissions to use it;
- publication does not infringe the rights of any third party;
- the content complies with these Terms, the Community Guidelines and applicable law; and
- you accept full responsibility for the consequences of publishing that content.
5.4 Profile Information
Your profile should accurately represent you. You must not knowingly provide false or misleading information regarding material aspects of your profile, including your age, photographs, identity, verification status or other information that could reasonably mislead other Members. BigBro may require inaccurate or misleading information to be corrected or may remove such information where reasonably necessary.
5.5 Photographs and Videos
You may upload only photographs and videos that you own or are legally authorised to use. You must not upload content that:
- infringes copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights;
- contains intimate images of another person without their consent;
- impersonates another individual;
- contains unlawful or prohibited content;
- violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
For technical purposes, BigBro may resize, compress, convert formats, generate thumbnails or otherwise optimise uploaded media for display and operation of the Platform.
5.6 BigBro Is Not a Backup or Cloud Storage Service
The Platform is designed to facilitate social networking and communication. It is not intended to function as a cloud storage, archival or backup service for photographs, videos or other User Content. Members are solely responsible for maintaining their own copies and backups of any content they consider valuable or important. Although BigBro takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect User Content, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or error-free. User Content may become unavailable, be corrupted or be permanently lost due to technical failures, software defects, hardware failures, security incidents, maintenance activities, user actions or other circumstances beyond BigBro’s reasonable control. BigBro may permanently delete User Content in accordance with these Terms, the Privacy Policy, account deletion requests, legal obligations, moderation decisions or applicable retention policies.
5.7 Automated Content Analysis
To help operate and protect the Platform, BigBro may use automated technologies, including artificial intelligence and other detection systems, to analyse User Content. These technologies may assist with:
- spam detection;
- fraud prevention;
- impersonation detection;
- duplicate account detection;
- image and media analysis;
- content moderation;
- platform security;
- accessibility improvements; and
- compliance with applicable law.
Where required by applicable law, significant moderation decisions affecting a Member’s account are subject to appropriate human review.
5.8 Child Safety and CSAM Prevention
BigBro is an adults-only platform intended exclusively for Members who are at least 18 years of age. BigBro maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”), child sexual exploitation and any content or activity involving minors that violates applicable law. To help protect children and maintain a safe community, BigBro makes reasonable efforts to detect, prevent and remove such content. These efforts may include automated technologies, artificial intelligence, image matching technologies, human review where appropriate and cooperation with trusted third-party service providers. Where BigBro reasonably believes that content may constitute CSAM or involve the sexual exploitation of a minor, BigBro may, without prior notice:
- immediately remove or restrict access to the content;
- suspend or permanently terminate the associated account;
- preserve relevant information where legally required;
- report the matter to competent law enforcement authorities and to designated reporting organisations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), where required or permitted by applicable law; and
- take any other action reasonably necessary to protect children, Members and the Platform.
Child-safety concerns may be reported to BigBro at any time at childsafety@bigbro.men. Any attempt to use the Platform for the creation, possession, solicitation, distribution or promotion of CSAM or the sexual exploitation of minors will result in immediate enforcement action.
5.9 Removal of User Content
BigBro may remove, restrict, disable access to or refuse to publish User Content where it reasonably believes that the content:
-
violates these Terms;
-
violates the Community Guidelines;
-
infringes the rights of another person;
-
poses a risk to Members;
-
is fraudulent or misleading;
-
threatens the integrity or security of the Platform; or
-
must be removed to comply with applicable law.
Where required by law, BigBro will provide information regarding significant moderation decisions and any available review or appeal process.
5.10 No Obligation to Publish
BigBro is under no obligation to publish, retain or continue displaying any User Content. The removal of User Content does not necessarily imply that the Member has violated these Terms.
5.11 Backup and Data Loss
Although BigBro takes reasonable measures to operate and maintain the Platform, no online service can guarantee that User Content will never be lost, corrupted or become unavailable. Members are responsible for maintaining their own copies of any content they consider important. Except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, BigBro shall not be liable for the loss of User Content resulting from technical failures, maintenance, security incidents or other operational circumstances.
5.12 Adult Content and Channel Availability
Certain adult or fetish-oriented features and content are made available only on the BigBro web service and only to verified adult Members, and are not offered through the BigBro mobile applications. You must comply with the content standards applicable to the channel you are using and with the platform policies of any app store through which you obtained the application, including Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA) and applicable content guidelines. BigBro may restrict, gate or remove adult content, or limit the channels on which it is available, where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, app-store requirements or payment-provider rules.
6. Communication Features
6.1 Purpose
BigBro provides communication tools to help Members connect, communicate and build social relationships within the community. Communication features may include:
- private messaging;
- Buzzes;
- reactions;
- event invitations;
- community discussions;
- group conversations;
- voice, video or other communication features introduced in the future.
Communication through the Platform is voluntary. No Member is required to respond to another Member or continue any conversation.
6.2 Private Messaging
Members may communicate using the private messaging features provided by the Platform. You are solely responsible for every message, attachment, photograph, video or other material that you send through the Platform. Messages must comply with these Terms, the Community Guidelines and applicable law. BigBro does not routinely monitor private conversations. However, BigBro may access, review, preserve or disclose messages where reasonably necessary to:
- investigate reports submitted by Members;
- enforce these Terms or the Community Guidelines;
- comply with applicable law or legally binding requests from competent authorities;
- protect the rights, safety or security of Members or BigBro;
- detect fraud, abuse or unlawful activity; or
- protect the integrity and operation of the Platform.
BigBro does not guarantee permanent storage or delivery of messages.
6.3 Buzz
A Buzz is a lightweight interaction that allows a Member to attract another Member’s attention and express interest without sending a chat message. A Buzz is sent by selecting one of the Buzz icons made available by BigBro and is intended as a simple invitation to interact. A Buzz:
- is not anonymous;
- always identifies the sender;
- does not create any obligation to respond;
- may be accepted, ignored or dismissed by the recipient.
Members may control who is permitted to send them Buzzes through their privacy settings. Available options may include allowing Buzzes from:
- all Members;
- verified Members only;
- favourite Members only; or
- no one.
To reduce spam and unwanted interactions:
- a Member may send only one Buzz to the same Member within any twenty-four (24) hour period;
- Buzzes cannot be revoked, edited or withdrawn after they have been sent.
BigBro may introduce additional limits or anti-abuse measures at any time.
6.4 Blocking Members
BigBro provides blocking tools to help Members control who may interact with them. A blocked Member may lose access to certain forms of interaction, including messaging, Buzzes, invitations or other features determined by BigBro.
Blocking is a personal preference and does not constitute a finding that another Member has violated these Terms. BigBro does not guarantee that blocking will prevent all forms of contact outside the Platform.
6.5 Reporting Members
Members are encouraged to report profiles, messages, events, photographs, advertisements or other content that they reasonably believe violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines or applicable law. Reports may be submitted using the reporting tools available within the Platform. BigBro reviews reports using a combination of automated systems and human moderation where appropriate. Submitting a report does not guarantee that content will be removed or that enforcement action will be taken.
6.6 False or Malicious Reports
Members must not knowingly submit false, misleading, abusive or malicious reports. Abuse of the reporting system may itself constitute a violation of these Terms and may result in moderation measures, including suspension or termination of the reporting Member’s account.
6.7 Respectful Communication
Members must communicate respectfully. You must not use any communication feature to:
- harass another Member;
- threaten or intimidate another Member;
- bully or stalk another Member;
- repeatedly contact someone who has expressed no interest;
- distribute spam;
- send fraudulent or misleading messages;
- share unlawful content;
- circumvent another Member’s privacy settings or blocking preferences; or
- otherwise violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
BigBro may impose reasonable usage limits on communication features to help prevent spam, abuse and misuse of the Platform.
6.8 No Guaranteed Delivery
BigBro does not guarantee that every message, Buzz, invitation or other communication will be delivered, displayed or received. Communications may be delayed, filtered, restricted or unavailable due to technical issues, privacy settings, moderation actions, security measures or other operational reasons.
6.9 No Guaranteed Response
The Platform facilitates communication between Members but does not guarantee that:
-
another Member will respond;
-
conversations will continue;
-
invitations will be accepted;
-
Buzzes will receive a reaction;
-
friendships, relationships or other social connections will develop.
Members remain free to accept, ignore, decline or discontinue communications at any time without explanation.
6.10 Member Responsibility
You remain solely responsible for every interaction you initiate through the Platform and for your decision to continue or discontinue communication with another Member.
7. User-Organised Events
7.1 Platform Role
BigBro provides digital tools that enable Members to create, publish, discover, join and communicate about independently organised social activities and events. Unless expressly stated otherwise by BigBro, all events available through the Platform are created, organised and managed exclusively by Members. BigBro is not the organiser, co-organiser, promoter, sponsor, host, venue operator, travel provider or event manager of any Member-created event. The publication or availability of an event on the Platform does not constitute approval, endorsement, certification or recommendation by BigBro.
7.2 Types of Events
Members may organise a wide variety of lawful social activities, including but not limited to:
- dinners;
- coffee meetups;
- karaoke evenings;
- gym sessions;
- yoga classes;

- discussion groups;
- outdoor activities;
- private gatherings; and
- other lawful community events.
Members are solely responsible for ensuring that every event complies with applicable law and these Terms.
7.3 Host Responsibilities
The Member creating an event (“Host”) is solely responsible for every aspect of that event. This includes, without limitation:
-
selecting the venue;
-
obtaining permission to use the venue where required;
-
communicating accurate event information;
-
managing attendance;
-
complying with applicable laws and regulations;
-
complying with occupancy limits;

complying with fire safety requirements;
-
complying with health and safety requirements;
-
complying with food and alcohol regulations where applicable;
-
respecting neighbours, landlords and property owners; and
-
taking reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for participants.
Hosts represent and warrant that they have the legal right to organise the event and use the selected venue.
7.4 Participant Responsibilities
Participation in any Member-organised event is entirely voluntary. Each Member is solely responsible for deciding whether to attend an event and whether participation is appropriate based on their own circumstances, health, abilities, preferences and judgment. Members attend events entirely at their own risk.
7.5 Private Homes and Venues
Where an event is held in a private residence or other privately controlled venue, the Host is solely responsible for ensuring that:
- the event is permitted at that location;
- all necessary permissions have been obtained;
- attendance is appropriate for the venue;
- lease obligations, condominium rules and house rules are respected;
- guests are informed of any relevant restrictions.
BigBro assumes no responsibility for disputes involving Hosts, guests, landlords, neighbours, property owners or venue operators.
7.6 No Safety Guarantee
BigBro does not inspect venues, supervise events, verify safety measures, monitor activities during events or screen participants before attendance. BigBro cannot guarantee:
- the safety of any event;
- the legality of any activity;
- the suitability of any venue;
- the identity or behaviour of Hosts or participants;
- that event descriptions are accurate;
- that an event will occur as advertised.
Members should exercise their own judgment before attending any event.
7.7 Property Damage and Personal Injury
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BigBro shall not be responsible or liable for:
- damage to private or rented property;
- fire, smoke or water damage;
- theft;
- vandalism;
- loss of personal belongings;
- vehicle damage;
- neighbour disputes;
- building rule violations;
- fines imposed by authorities;
- personal injury;
- illness;
- accidents; or
- disputes arising from participation in Member-organised events.
Such matters remain solely the responsibility of the individuals involved.
7.8 Compliance with Laws
Hosts and participants are solely responsible for ensuring that their activities comply with all applicable local, national and international laws and regulations. Nothing within the Platform authorises or encourages Members to violate any law.
7.9 Educational Resources
BigBro may provide educational articles, guides and recommendations relating to hosting, guest etiquette, community safety, emergency preparedness, responsible event planning and similar topics through the BigBro Knowledge Hub. These materials are provided solely for general informational and educational purposes. They do not constitute legal, medical, engineering, safety or other professional advice and do not create any duty of care owed by BigBro. Following such materials does not eliminate the risks associated with real-world activities.
7.10 No Duty to Monitor Events
BigBro has no general obligation to monitor Member-organised events or offline activities. BigBro may remove event listings, restrict participation or suspend accounts where it reasonably believes that these Terms, the Community Guidelines or applicable law have been violated. Failure to remove an event immediately shall not be interpreted as approval, endorsement or acceptance of that event.
7.11 Event Cancellation
BigBro does not guarantee that any event will take place. Hosts may modify, postpone or cancel events at their discretion, subject to applicable law.
BigBro is not responsible for any costs, inconvenience, travel arrangements or losses arising from cancelled, postponed or modified events.
7.12 No Guaranteed Social Outcome
BigBro provides opportunities for Members to discover and participate in events. BigBro does not guarantee that a Member will:
- receive invitations;
- be accepted to an event;
- enjoy an event;
- meet compatible people;
- establish friendships;
- find a romantic partner;
- find an activity partner; or
- achieve any particular social outcome through participation in events.
7.13 Host Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, a Host agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Karussell Labs OÜ, its directors, employees, contractors and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, costs and reasonable legal expenses arising out of or relating to:
- the organisation or operation of a Member-created event;
- the Host’s breach of these Terms;
- the Host’s violation of applicable law; or
- damage or injury caused by the Host’s acts or omissions.
This indemnification obligation does not apply where the claim results directly from BigBro’s own unlawful conduct or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Community Guidelines and Moderation
8.1 Purpose
BigBro is committed to fostering a respectful, welcoming and safer environment for all Members. To support this goal, BigBro maintains Community Guidelines that describe the standards of behaviour expected from Members when using the Platform. The Community Guidelines form an integral part of these Terms of Service.
8.2 Compliance with the Community Guidelines
By using the Platform, you agree to comply with the Community Guidelines. Failure to comply may result in moderation measures, including:
-
removal of content;
-
warnings;
-
temporary restrictions;
-
temporary suspension;

permanent suspension;
-
termination of your account; or
-
any other enforcement action reasonably necessary to protect Members or the Platform.

- interfere with the operation of the Platform;
- repeatedly evade moderation measures by creating new accounts.
BigBro may expand or update the Community Guidelines from time to time.
8.4 Moderation
BigBro uses a combination of:
- automated moderation systems;
- artificial intelligence;
- trusted third-party technologies;
- human moderators; and
- Member reports
to help identify content and behaviour that may violate these Terms or applicable law. No moderation system is capable of identifying every violation. BigBro makes reasonable efforts but does not guarantee that all inappropriate content or behaviour will be detected or removed.
8.5 Community Reporting
Members are encouraged to report:
-
suspicious accounts;
-
fake profiles;
-
inappropriate behaviour;
-
illegal content;
-
harassment;
-
scams;
-
fraud;
-
event safety concerns; and
-
other suspected violations.
Member reports play an important role in helping BigBro maintain a safer community. However, submission of a report does not guarantee that enforcement action will be taken.
8.6 False Reports
Members must not knowingly submit false, misleading or malicious reports. Abuse of the reporting system may itself constitute a violation of these Terms.
8.7 Enforcement
When determining appropriate enforcement measures, BigBro may consider factors including:
- the seriousness of the violation;
- previous violations;
- risk to other Members;
- intent;
- cooperation during investigation; and
- applicable legal obligations.
Enforcement measures may include:
- educational notices;
- content removal;
- feature restrictions;
- removal of verification status;
- temporary suspension;
- permanent account termination.
8.8 Immediate Action
BigBro may immediately suspend or terminate an account without prior notice where reasonably necessary to:
- protect Members;
- protect children;
- prevent fraud;
- comply with legal obligations;
- prevent serious harm;
- investigate criminal activity; or
- protect the integrity and security of the Platform.
8.9 Community Safety Commitment
BigBro continuously invests in moderation technologies, fraud detection, verification systems, reporting tools and educational resources to help reduce harmful behaviour and improve the overall safety of the Platform. As a lean team, BigBro also relies on its Members to help identify suspicious behaviour and report potential violations. Keeping BigBro welcoming and respectful is a shared responsibility between BigBro and its community.
8.10 Appeals
Where required by applicable law, Members may request a review of significant moderation decisions affecting their account or content. BigBro will review such requests using appropriate procedures and, where legally required, human review.
9. BigBro Knowledge Hub
9.1 Purpose

- safety;
- privacy;
- health;
- lifestyle; and
- other subjects considered relevant by BigBro.
BigBro may expand, modify or reorganise the Knowledge Hub at any time.
9.2 Educational Purpose
The Knowledge Hub exists to promote informed decision-making, responsible behaviour and safer interactions both online and offline. It is intended to educate Members and encourage positive participation within the community.
9.3 No Professional Advice
The Knowledge Hub is provided solely for general informational and educational purposes. Nothing contained within the Knowledge Hub constitutes:
- legal advice;
- medical advice;
- psychological advice;
- financial advice;
- engineering advice;
- safety certification;
- emergency guidance; or
- any other form of professional advice.
Members should seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.
9.4 No Guarantee
Following recommendations contained within the Knowledge Hub does not guarantee:
- personal safety;
- legal compliance;
- successful relationships;
- successful events;
- prevention of accidents;
- prevention of property damage; or
- any other particular outcome.
Members remain solely responsible for their own decisions and actions.
9.5 Community Safety Education
BigBro believes that education is an important part of maintaining a safer community. Accordingly, BigBro may publish articles concerning:
- responsible hosting;
- respectful communication;
- personal safety;
- emergency preparedness;
- consent;
- community standards;
- online safety;
- fraud awareness; and
- other safety-related topics.
These educational materials supplement, but do not replace, Members’ own responsibility to act responsibly and comply with applicable law.
9.6 External Links
The Knowledge Hub may contain links to third-party websites, organisations or external resources. Such links are provided for convenience only. BigBro does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability or security of third-party resources. Access to external websites is entirely at the Member’s own risk.
9.7 Updates
BigBro may update, revise, expand, remove or replace Knowledge Hub content at any time without prior notice. Members should not assume that articles will remain permanently available or that previously published content reflects current legal, medical or technical developments.
10. Advertising and Sponsored Content
10.1 Advertising
BigBro may display advertisements, sponsored content, promotional messages and other commercial communications as part of the Platform. Advertisements may appear in various parts of the Platform, including but not limited to:
- profile listings;
- search results;
- event pages;
- community pages;
- the BigBro Knowledge Hub;
- messaging interfaces;
- banners; and
- other features introduced in the future.
The presence, frequency and placement of advertisements may change at any time.
10.2 Sponsored Content
BigBro may allow selected partners, organisations or businesses to publish sponsored content through the Platform. Sponsored content will, where reasonably practicable and required by applicable law, be distinguishable from user-generated content.
10.3 No Endorsement
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the display of an advertisement or sponsored content does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification or approval by BigBro. Members remain solely responsible for evaluating any product, service, event or business promoted through advertisements.
10.4 Third-Party Advertisers
Advertisements may contain links to websites, applications or services operated by third parties. BigBro is not responsible for:
- third-party products or services;
- advertising claims;
- pricing;
- availability;
- warranties;
- customer support;
- payment processing performed by advertisers; or
- the content or practices of third-party websites.
Any transaction between a Member and an advertiser is solely between those parties.
10.5 Personalised Advertising
Subject to applicable law and the Member’s privacy preferences, advertisements may be displayed based on factors including:
- approximate location;
- language;
- interests;
- Platform activity;
- settings; and
- other information processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
10.6 Reporting Advertisements
Members may report advertisements that they reasonably believe are:
- fraudulent;
- misleading;
- unlawful;
- inappropriate; or
- inconsistent with these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
BigBro may review such reports and may remove advertisements at its discretion or where required by applicable law.
10.7 Advertising-Free Services
Certain subscription plans or future services may provide an advertising-free or reduced-advertising experience. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Members should not expect the Platform to be free of advertisements.
11. Fees, Payments and Subscriptions
11.1 Free Core Use
Core use of the Platform is currently free of charge. BigBro may, however, offer paid features, premium plans, subscriptions or one-off purchases from time to time.
11.2 Paid Features and Subscriptions
Where BigBro offers a paid feature or subscription, the applicable price, billing period, renewal terms and any conditions will be disclosed to you before you complete the purchase. Unless expressly stated otherwise, subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation method. You may cancel a subscription at any time, with effect from the end of the current billing period, save where mandatory law provides otherwise.
11.3 Purchases Through App Stores
Where you purchase a paid feature or subscription through a third-party app store (for example, the Apple App Store or Google Play), that purchase is also subject to the store’s terms and payment rules.
Billing, payment collection and, where applicable, refunds for such purchases are handled by the relevant store in accordance with its own policies. BigBro may be unable to grant refunds for purchases made through an app store and may direct you to the store operator.
11.4 Price Changes
BigBro may change the price of paid features or subscriptions. Where required by applicable law, BigBro will give you reasonable advance notice of any price change affecting a recurring subscription, and the change will take effect only for billing periods beginning after the notice period, giving you the opportunity to cancel before it applies.
11.5 Taxes
Prices are stated inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes as indicated at the point of purchase. You are responsible for any taxes, levies or charges imposed on your purchase by the applicable authorities, other than taxes based on BigBro’s income.
11.6 Berlin Launch Special – Lifetime Free Premium
To build an active community during its launch phase, BigBro offers the following special ("Berlin Launch Special"). BigBro grants it free of charge because it wants a full grid and a living community, and active Members are what keep the Platform running. Active participation is therefore the only condition.
Eligibility. You are a "Launch Member" if your account was created (a) among the first 1,000 Member accounts registered on the Platform, or (b) between 1 September 2026, 00:00 and 31 October 2026, 23:59 (Berlin time). Test, staff and duplicate accounts (see Section 3.2) are not eligible.
What Launch Members receive. Launch Members receive BigBro's premium plan, as offered from time to time, free of charge for the lifetime of their account. No subscription is created and no payment details are required. The special does not cover one-off purchases, creator or other features sold separately, or charges of third parties (for example, your mobile carrier). The premium plan may change over time in accordance with Section 19.3; a Launch Member always receives it on the same terms as paying premium members, without charge.
Keeping your profile active. In return, every Launch Member is required to keep his profile active. A profile is active if the Member performs at least one of the following actions in each calendar week: sending a message, sending a Buzz, or creating or joining an event. Actions that breach these Terms or the Community Guidelines (for example, spam) do not count.
If a profile becomes inactive. If a Launch Member's profile is not active for one or more weeks, BigBro may end the free premium plan for that account. Before doing so, BigBro will notify the Member in the app or by email and give him at least 30 days to become active again. Ending the special affects only the free premium plan: the account, its content and free core use of the Platform (Section 11.1) remain unaffected. If BigBro does not enforce this condition for a period of time, it does not waive the right to do so later, in accordance with Section 19.9; enforcement will only ever apply to inactivity after the notice described above.
Lifetime and termination. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Launch Member's account. The special is personal, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money, and ends when the account is deleted by the Member or terminated by BigBro in accordance with these Terms (in particular Section 8.7).
12. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
12.1 Statutory Right to Withdraw
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union and you purchase paid digital content or digital services through the Platform, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen (14) days of its conclusion, without giving any reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and applicable national law.
12.2 Loss of the Right of Withdrawal
Where you request that the supply of digital content or a digital service begins immediately, during the 14- day withdrawal period, you acknowledge and agree that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that the right will thereby be lost, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12.3 How to Withdraw
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform BigBro of your decision by a clear statement (for example, a letter or email) sent to legal@bigbro.men before the withdrawal period has expired. You may, but are not required to, use a model withdrawal form. Where a valid withdrawal applies and the right has not been lost under section 12.2, BigBro will reimburse any payments received from you without undue delay using the same means of payment you used, unless expressly agreed otherwise. Nothing in this section affects any additional or more favourable cancellation or refund rights available to you under mandatory law or under the policies of an app store through which you made a purchase.
13. No Guaranteed Outcomes
13.1 Platform Purpose
BigBro provides a technology platform designed to help Members discover, communicate with and connect with other Members. The Platform facilitates opportunities for social interaction but does not guarantee any particular outcome.
13.2 No Guarantee of Matches or Relationships
BigBro does not guarantee that any Member will:
- find a romantic partner;
- find a friend;
- establish a relationship;
- receive messages;
- receive replies;
- receive Buzzes;
- receive invitations;
- meet compatible Members; or
- achieve any particular dating or social objective.
The success of interactions depends on numerous factors beyond BigBro’s control, including Member preferences, location, activity and personal choices.
13.3 No Guarantee of Events
BigBro does not guarantee that:
- an event will take place;
- an event will match its description;
- a Host or participant will behave in any particular manner;
- a Member will be accepted to an event;
- attendance expectations will be met; or
- an event will result in any social, personal or professional benefit.
13.4 No Guarantee of Communities
BigBro does not guarantee that Members will:
- find communities matching their interests;
- receive invitations to communities;
- remain members of any community;
- receive responses from community administrators; or
- experience any particular outcome from participating in communities.
13.5 Member Responsibility
Members remain solely responsible for:
- deciding who to communicate with;
- deciding whom to meet;
- deciding whether to attend events;
- deciding what personal information to share; and
- exercising appropriate judgment in all interactions.
Members should always use common sense and appropriate caution when interacting with others, both online and offline.
13.6 No Warranty of Success
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BigBro makes no representation or warranty regarding:
- the number of available Members;
- the quality of interactions;
- Member compatibility;
- Member responsiveness;
- community participation;
- event attendance; or
- the likelihood of achieving any desired social, personal or dating outcome through the Platform.
BigBro provides opportunities for connection, not guarantees of results.
14. Privacy, Safety and Member Responsibility
14.1 Personal Responsibility
BigBro provides tools that enable Members to communicate and connect with one another. Every Member remains solely responsible for their own decisions, actions and interactions both on and off the Platform. Using the Platform does not transfer responsibility for personal decisions or real-world activities to BigBro.
14.2 Meeting Other Members
Members choose independently whether to communicate with, meet or participate in activities with other Members. When meeting another Member, BigBro recommends that Members:
- exercise appropriate caution;
- meet in a public place when appropriate;
- inform a trusted person of their plans where appropriate;
- respect personal boundaries and consent;
- leave immediately if they feel unsafe.
These recommendations are provided solely as general guidance and do not eliminate the risks associated with meeting other people.
14.3 Location Services
Certain features of the Platform may use approximate location information to improve the Member experience. Where the Platform displays location or distance, it does so at a coarse, city-level of precision. Members remain in control of whether location information is shared, subject to the functionality of the Platform. Location information:
- may not be precise;
- may be delayed;
- may contain inaccuracies;
- should not be relied upon for navigation or emergency purposes.
BigBro does not guarantee the accuracy of any location or distance displayed within the Platform.
14.4 No Background Checks
Unless expressly stated otherwise, BigBro does not conduct criminal background checks, financial checks or comprehensive investigations into Members. Members should not assume that another Member has been screened, approved, endorsed or certified by BigBro. Verification badges indicate only the specific verification process described in these Terms.
14.5 Personal Property
Members remain solely responsible for their own personal property before, during and after interactions arranged through the Platform. BigBro is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings.
14.6 Emergencies
The Platform is not an emergency service. Members requiring urgent assistance should immediately contact the appropriate emergency services in their jurisdiction. BigBro cannot provide emergency response, law enforcement or medical assistance.
14.7 Safety Tools
BigBro provides various safety tools, which may include:
- profile verification;
- blocking;
- reporting;
- privacy settings;
- moderation;
- educational resources;
- other safety features introduced in the future.
These tools are intended to improve the Member experience but do not eliminate risks associated with online or offline interactions.
14.8 Shared Responsibility
BigBro continuously invests in moderation technologies, reporting systems, educational resources and verification processes to help maintain a respectful community. However, maintaining a positive community is a shared responsibility. Members are encouraged to:
- report suspicious behaviour;
- report illegal content;
- use blocking tools when appropriate;
- respect other Members;
- comply with these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
No moderation system can guarantee that all harmful behaviour will be detected or prevented.
14.9 Data Protection and GDPR
BigBro processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and Estonian data-protection law, as described in our Privacy Policy. Our lead supervisory authority is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, AKI). Because the Platform can reveal sensitive information — including that you are a member of an LGBTQ+ community and, in some features, your approximate location — you should consider carefully what you choose to share. Location is shown at a coarse, city-level of precision. Questions and data-subject requests may be sent to privacy@bigbro.men.
15. Intellectual Property
15.1 Ownership
Except for User Content owned by Members, the Platform and all associated intellectual property rights are owned by or licensed to Karussell Labs OÜ. This includes, but is not limited to:

15.2 Limited Licence
Subject to these Terms, BigBro grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for its intended purpose. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
15.3 Restrictions
Except where expressly permitted by applicable law or with BigBro’s prior written consent, you must not:
-
copy;
-
reproduce;
-
modify;
-
adapt;
-
distribute;
-
publish;
-
reverse engineer;
-
decompile;
-
scrape;
-
harvest data;
-
create derivative works;
-
sell;
-
license;
-
commercially exploit; or
-
otherwise use the Platform or its intellectual property beyond its intended use.
15.4 Trademarks
“BigBro,” the BigBro logo, Karussell Labs OÜ branding and all associated names, graphics, logos and service marks are the property of Karussell Labs OÜ or its licensors. Nothing contained within the Platform grants any licence or right to use these marks without prior written permission.
15.5 Feedback
BigBro welcomes suggestions, ideas and feedback regarding the Platform. If you voluntarily submit suggestions, feature requests, comments or other feedback, you grant BigBro a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, modify, implement, publish and incorporate such feedback into the Platform without compensation or obligation to you.
15.6 Copyright Complaints
If you believe that content available on the Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, you may notify BigBro using the contact details provided in these Terms. BigBro may investigate such notices and take appropriate action, including removing allegedly infringing content where reasonably necessary or required by applicable law.
16. Artificial Intelligence and Third-Party Services
16.1 Artificial Intelligence
BigBro may use artificial intelligence (“AI”), machine learning and other automated technologies to improve the operation, security and functionality of the Platform. AI-assisted systems may be used for purposes including:
-
content moderation;
-
spam detection;
-
fraud prevention;
-
fake profile detection;
-
duplicate account detection;
-
child safety protection;
-
image analysis;
-
translation;
-
accessibility improvements;
-
recommendations;
-
feature personalisation; and
-
other operational purposes.
16.2 Automated Decision-Making
Certain moderation decisions may be assisted by automated systems. Where required by applicable law, decisions resulting in significant restrictions on a Member’s account shall be subject to appropriate human review. Nothing in this section limits BigBro’s ability to take immediate action where necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect Members.
16.3 Future Technologies
BigBro may introduce additional AI-powered or automated features from time to time. Such features may include content recommendations, search improvements, moderation enhancements, accessibility tools or other services designed to improve the Platform.
16.4 Third-Party Services
The Platform may integrate or interact with third-party services, including but not limited to:
- Apple;
- Google;
- Persona;
- payment providers;
- map providers;
- analytics providers;
- cloud hosting providers;
- communication providers;
- authentication providers; and
- other service providers.
Use of such services may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.
16.5 Third-Party Responsibility
BigBro does not own or control third-party services. Except where required by applicable law, BigBro is not responsible for:
- the availability of third-party services;
- third-party content;
- changes made by third parties;
- interruptions caused by third parties;
- security incidents affecting third parties; or
- products or services provided by third parties.
16.6 Service Interruptions
The availability of certain Platform features may depend upon third-party providers. BigBro shall not be responsible for temporary interruptions, delays or reduced functionality resulting from failures or maintenance performed by third-party service providers.
16.7 App Store Terms
Where you obtain a BigBro mobile application through a third-party app store, your use of that application is also subject to the applicable app store’s terms, including, in the case of Apple, the Apple Media Services Terms and the Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (Standard EULA), and, in the case of Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service, together with the applicable app store content and payment guidelines. To the extent of any conflict between these Terms and the applicable app store rules regarding your use of the application obtained from that store, the app store rules prevail for that purpose. The relevant app store operator (for example, Apple or Google) is not a party to these Terms, is not responsible for the Platform or its content, and, where the store’s rules so provide, is an intended third-party beneficiary of your acceptance of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you as they relate to your use of that application.
16.8 Beta and Experimental Features
BigBro may from time to time make available beta, preview, experimental or early-access features. Such features may be incomplete or unstable and may be modified, suspended or withdrawn at any time, and their use may be subject to additional terms notified to you. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and except for liability that cannot legally be excluded, beta and experimental features are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, and BigBro’s liability in respect of them is limited as set out in section 17 (Liability). You choose to use beta and experimental features at your own discretion and risk.
17. Liability
17.1 General Principle
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17.2 Unlimited Liability
BigBro shall be liable without limitation for:
- intentional misconduct;
- gross negligence;
- death or personal injury caused by BigBro’s negligence where liability cannot legally be excluded;
- fraudulent misrepresentation;
- liability arising under mandatory product liability legislation; and
- any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
17.3 Limited Liability
Where permitted by applicable law, BigBro’s liability for ordinary negligence shall be limited to damages that were reasonably foreseeable and typical for this type of agreement at the time the contract was concluded.
17.4 Member Interactions
BigBro provides a technology platform only. Except where liability cannot legally be excluded, BigBro shall not be responsible for:
- the conduct of Members;
- disputes between Members;
- communications between Members;
- real-world meetings;
- user-organised events;
- agreements entered into between Members;
- property damage;
- theft;
- fraud committed by Members;
- personal injury caused by Members; or
- losses arising from interactions between Members.
17.5 User-Generated Content
BigBro is not responsible for User Content published by Members. The opinions, statements and information expressed by Members are solely those of the respective Members and do not necessarily reflect the views of BigBro.
17.6 Availability
BigBro strives to provide a reliable Platform but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. The Platform may occasionally become unavailable due to:
- maintenance;
- software updates;
- technical failures;
- security incidents;
- internet outages;
- third-party failures;
- force majeure events; or
- circumstances beyond BigBro’s reasonable control.
17.7 Data Loss
BigBro is not a cloud storage or backup service. Members are responsible for maintaining their own backups of important User Content. Except where liability cannot legally be excluded, BigBro shall not be liable for the loss, corruption or deletion of User Content.
17.8 No Professional Advice
Information available through the Platform, including the BigBro Knowledge Hub, advertisements, user- generated content and communications between Members, is provided for general informational purposes only.
BigBro does not provide legal, medical, psychological, engineering, financial or other professional advice.
17.9 No Guarantee of Safety
While BigBro invests in moderation, verification technologies, reporting systems and educational resources, BigBro cannot guarantee that the Platform will be completely free from:
- fake profiles;
- fraud;
- scams;
- inappropriate behaviour;
- unlawful content;
- security incidents; or
- other harmful activity.
Members remain responsible for exercising appropriate judgment and caution when using the Platform.
17.10 Force Majeure
BigBro shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- fire;
- flood;
- war;
- terrorism;
- civil unrest;
- governmental actions;
- internet outages;
- cyberattacks;
- labour disputes;
- pandemics;
- epidemics; or
- failures of third-party infrastructure.
17.11 Monetary Limitation for Paid Features
Subject to sections 17.1 and 17.2, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BigBro’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with paid features or subscriptions shall be limited to the total amount you paid to BigBro for the relevant paid feature or subscription in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability under section 17.2 or under mandatory consumer-protection law.
17.12 Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Members agree to indemnify and hold harmless Karussell Labs OÜ, its directors, officers, employees, contractors and affiliates against claims, damages, liabilities, reasonable legal costs and expenses arising from:
-
the Member’s breach of these Terms;
-
unlawful use of the Platform;
-
infringement of third-party rights;
-
User Content published by the Member; or
-
activities organised or conducted by the Member through the Platform.
This obligation shall not apply where the claim arises directly from BigBro’s own unlawful conduct or liability that cannot legally be excluded, and applies only to the extent the claim is attributable to the Member’s fault.
17.13 Assumption of Risk — Member Meetings and Events
BigBro provides a technology platform that enables Members to discover one another and to create, host, join and attend user-organised events. All communications, introductions, meetings, activities, events and transactions between Members are arranged, conducted and attended independently by Members and entirely at their own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and except for liability that cannot legally be excluded (including under section 17.2), each Member assumes the risks associated with contacting or meeting other Members and with hosting, attending or participating in any event, and releases BigBro from any claims, demands, damages, losses, personal injury, illness or liability arising out of or in connection with any interaction, meeting, event, activity or transaction between Members, whether occurring online or offline and whether or not the event was created, promoted or communicated through the Platform. This section is in addition to, and does not limit, the Host and participant responsibilities set out in section 7 (User-Organised Events), the disclaimers in section 7.7, and the indemnities given by Hosts and Members in sections 7.13 and 17.12. Nothing in this section affects any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
18. Dispute Resolution and Complaints
18.1 Contacting BigBro
Members may contact BigBro regarding questions, complaints or legal matters using the contact details published on the Platform and set out in Appendix E. BigBro will make reasonable efforts to respond within an appropriate time, taking into account the nature and complexity of the request.
18.2 Reporting Illegal Content
Members and any other person may report content that they reasonably believe is:
- illegal;
- fraudulent;
- abusive;
- misleading;
- dangerous; or
- otherwise in violation of these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
Reports may be submitted using the reporting tools available within the Platform, by contacting report@bigbro.men, or, for child-safety matters, childsafety@bigbro.men.
18.3 Digital Services Act (DSA)
Where applicable, BigBro processes notices and complaints in accordance with the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). BigBro acts on valid notices and may, in line with its policies, remove or disable content, limit visibility, suspend features, or suspend or terminate accounts. Where BigBro takes such action against your content or account, it will provide a statement of reasons where required, and you may contest the decision by writing to legal@bigbro.men. BigBro’s single point of contact for the authorities and for users under Article 11 of the Digital Services Act is legal@bigbro.men.
18.4 Internal Complaint Process
Where required by applicable law, Members may request an internal review of certain moderation decisions affecting their content or account. Submission of a complaint does not guarantee that the original decision will be changed.
18.5 Online Dispute Resolution
Where applicable, consumers may have access to dispute resolution mechanisms provided under applicable law. The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform is available at ec.europa.eu/ consumers/odr. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
18.6 Cooperation with Authorities
BigBro may cooperate with courts, law enforcement agencies, regulators and other competent authorities where required or permitted by applicable law. Such cooperation may include preserving information, responding to lawful requests, providing information required by law or taking action to prevent illegal activity or protect Members.
19. Miscellaneous
19.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, excluding its conflict of law rules and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer habitually resident in another Member State of the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under the laws of your country of residence.
19.2 Jurisdiction
Where legally permitted, disputes arising from these Terms shall fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Estonia, namely Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) in Tallinn. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights of consumers to bring proceedings before the courts of their country of residence, or deprives consumers of the protection of the mandatory law of that country, where such rights are provided by applicable law.
19.3 Changes to the Platform
BigBro continuously develops and improves the Platform. Accordingly, BigBro may:
- introduce new features;
- discontinue features;
- modify functionality;

- otherwise develop the Platform.
Where required by applicable law, Members will receive appropriate notice before material changes take effect.
19.4 Changes to these Terms
BigBro may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with changes in applicable law;
- reflect new Platform features;
- improve clarity;
- address security concerns;
- reflect operational changes; or
- protect Members and the Platform.
Material changes will be communicated through appropriate means before becoming effective. Where required by applicable law, Members will be given an opportunity to review the updated Terms before continued use of the Platform, and, where required, BigBro will obtain renewed consent. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
19.5 Electronic Communications
By creating an account, you agree that BigBro may provide legally required notices, updates and other communications electronically, including through:
- email;
- in-app notifications;
- the Platform;
